Skin Care has worked with the licensed cosmetologist community by providing skin care products and treatments and it has offered license renewal classes through its University of Aesthetics. Now, persons hoping to become licensed can attend its Illinois approved aesthetician (skin care professional) licensing program. The course is 750 hours or approximately 6 ½ months for full-time study and approximately 12 ½ months for part-time study at night and on weekends. The University is located in Downers Grove off of Butterfield across from the Finley Square shopping complex. Classes begin on January 8th. The University is offering interested persons the opportunity to meet with faculty and view the classrooms by appointment (630.434.8999) or during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. CST. We have created the most complete and thorough educational program imaginable. Our program goes beyond preparing students for passing a licensing exam; it provides medical offices, clinics, spas, and salons with employees versed in epidermabrasion, pre and post operative lymphatic drainage, chemical peels, body treatments (detoxification wraps, massage, stone therapy), and so much more.
